Prof G J Gerwel, Prof Yunus, Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel
July 20, 2010 – Professor Muhammad Yunus, who delivered the 2009 Annual Lecture at the Johannesburg City Hall last year, has sent birthday and best wishes to Nelson Mandela on his 92nd birthday.
He says, “I remember so fondly our time together last year at this time, when I had the honour and privilege to deliver the Nelson Mandela Lecture and spend time with you in Johannesburg. It is a memory and an experience that I will always treasure.
“I wish you all the very best for a long, healthy and happy life. You continue to inspire us every day.”
