29 June, 2011 –Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, the latest online exhibition hosted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, is now live. The exhibition, which comprises a slideshow of images and quotes and a selection of video clips, showcases Madiba’s special relationship with children.
Nelson Mandela’s love for children is legendary. Many of his most famous quotes, recently compiled into a book of memorable quotations, Nelson Mandela By Himself: The Authorised Quotations Book, centre on the innocence, hope, unconditional love and limitless potential of children in South Africa and throughout the world.
The exhibition takes its name from the popular nursery rhyme “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, which Nelson Mandela would often sing to and with children during official visits.
