The Nelson Mandela Foundation trustees and staff extend our heartfelt condolences to the Mokgoro family on the passing of mme Yvonne Mokgoro.
We remember her fondly, especially the period when she worked closely with us during our FeesMustFall interventions. Madiba appointed her a Constitutional Court Justice in 1994, where she served with distinction until 2009. She was Chair of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund for many years.
Mme Yvonne also was a founding trustee of the Mandela Rhodes Foundation. We will miss her wisdom and guidance.
