The purpose of this position is to proactively coordinate, support and facilitate the seamless delivery of governance activities delivered by the Governance and IP unit.
This position aims to develop the Dialogue and Advocacy Programme of the Nelson Mandela Foundation into a leading social justice programme in South Africa with an international footprint. The programme should find ways to promote social justice and make a difference in people’s lives by using dialogue as a grounding methodology.
This is a fixed-term position, forming part of the Finance team of the Nelson Mandela Foundation. The Donor Accountant carries the main responsibility for the preparation of financial reports for internal and donor usage, as well as the maintenance of donor reporting schedules and templates. Forming part of the Finance Department, the role ensures the financial integrity of donor-funded projects and initiatives, providing accounting support to meet the needs of the organisation and donors.
Mandela Day Project Analyst
In consultation with the Programme Director and project team, lead in conceptualising and implementation of the various projects within the Foundation that relate to Mandela Day
The Nelson Mandela Foundation hereby invites applications for internship opportunities that exist in the Foundation. Applications are invited from unemployed South African youth between 18-30 years of age, with relevant Degree / National Diploma qualifications. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 10 month contract. Interns will receive a monthly stipend.

Dialogue & Advocacy Fellowship
The Nelson Mandela Foundation aims to recruit a Fellow that will be based within the Foundation's Dialogue and Advocacy unit. We envision this person as being someone who not only contributes towards public discourse but who also sees research as a verb in that they are committed towards actualising their proposals into tangible outcomes. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, network and engage with stakeholders in a meaningful way. Where possible, they must use relevant empirical evidence from both South Africa and elsewhere in the world. Any interventions or initiatives they propose must be possible in our local context.
