As we approach three decades of having come together to form this political community, South Africans continue to grapple with how to build this shared nation and what our collective understanding is of what we owe each other. While some of these themes are expected to emerge during the 19th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture, the focus of this pre-annual lecture dialogue is on the role of the non-governmental sector in achieving socio-economic justice.
