On behalf of our Founder, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and staff of the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory we extend our condolences on the passing of former political prisoner Mr Sedick Isaacs.
Mr Isaacs served time on Robben Island at the same time as Mr Nelson Mandela, albeit in a different section of the prison, and made his mark by teaching other prisoners literacy and Mathematics.
We honour Mr Isaacs for his contribution to the liberation struggle and send our deepest sympathies to his wife, Mareldia, and his daughters, Nadia and Wanita.
