This resource is hosted by the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, but was compiled and authored by Padraig O’Malley. It is the product of almost two decades of research and includes analyses, chronologies, historical documents, and interviews from the apartheid and post-apartheid eras.

Mesatywa, Jeanette

Jeanette was born in Alexandra Township. She studied in Alexandra until 1979 when she went to Botswana. She spent four years at university studying for a BA, finishing at Wits in 1987. She then studied theology at St Paul's in Grahamstown.

She worked as a volunteer for a luncheon club in Alexandra and for a living writes short stories for magazines.
