1970. Bantu Homelands Citizen Act No 26

Dyzenhaus (1991: 41, note 20) refers to this act as the BLACK HOMELANDS CITIZENSHIP ACT.

This attempted "to attach the citizenship of one or other of the Homelands to every African in the Republic (for domestic as distinct from international purposes), even if he had never lived outside the 'white' area" (Davenport 1987: 413).
