1909.? Act No 29

This is some sort of amendment of the VILLAGE MANAGEMENT ACT of 1881, and it was "designed to suit the needs of Coloured communities" (Marais 1938: 253). Apparently it was "framed on the analogy of the GLEN GREY ACT of 1849 (and its amendments), applicable to Bantu in the eastern Colony" (Marais 1938: 253, note 5).
