The Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Achmat Dangor as Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, effective January 1, 2007.
The Chairperson of the NMF, Professor Jakes Gerwel, said today that after an extensive and rigorous recruitment process, The Foundation had selected Mr Dangor to fill this important position. “I am delighted that Achmat, who is exceptionally well qualified, has agreed to return to South Africa to play this role,” Professor Gerwel said.
The NMF is one of three major charitable organisations operating in Mr Mandela’s name, and works alongside the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and The Mandela Rhodes Foundation.
