The Department of Social Development has launched the Vangasali campaign in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and GovChat aimed at finding every Early Childhood Development service in the country. We call on parents and caregivers to help us ensure that no child is left behind as we work to open up ECD services.
We are looking to locate the following ECD services:
- ECD centres or crèches (caters for 7 children or more)
- Child-minders (caters for 6 children or less)
- Toy libraries
- Play groups
- Mobile ECD programmes
The information gathered from this campaign will help the Department plan for the reopening of sites as well as a longer term project aimed at increasing registration.
