Over June, the Foundation participated in Cell C Take A Girl Child To Work Day hosting Grade 11 and matric girls from Unity High School in Benoni. The girls took a tour of the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, its permanent exhibition and its archive, and engaged in an intimate conversation with celebrated personality Unathi Nkayi. In the programme, the girls made vision boards, learnt how to compile a CV, made email addresses and engaged with our directors and staff.

The girls will come back to the Foundation in July to close the programme and share their experiences on the conversations they’ve had and the skills they’ve learnt with the Foundation.
