07h00 – 07h45: Join us for a light breakfast at Madiba’s post-presidential office
(Full run briefing to take place over breakfast)
07h45: Depart from the Nelson Mandela Foundation to the Union Buildings in a symbolic send-off for our beloved Tata Madiba
(To be led by marshals – JMPD / Tshwane Traffic / Think Bike and others)
Route to follow main highways via the Palace of Justice, where Madiba was sentenced to life imprisonment on 12 June 1964, and then on to the Union Buildings, where Madiba was inaugurated as the first President of a Democratic South Africa on 10 May 1994.
