Some reflections on the life of the late Mr Nelson Mandela, including a private commissioned photo shoot with Mr Mandela on August 13, 2004 by Matthew Willman.
"On a rainy day in June 2004 I received a telephone call from Verne Harris who told me that Mr Mandela had seen my portfolio of images of Robben Island that I had sent to them six months earlier," says Willman. "It had been decided that I would be given a very rare, almost unheard of, opportunity to photograph Nelson Mandela privately."
