Cosatu Freedom Charter

Cosatu Freedom Charter

In 1987, the UDF began a campaign to promote the ideas in the Freedom Charter: the People Shall Govern; there shall be work and security, all shall be equal before the law. While UDF affiliates had accepted the Freedom Charter as basic principles for many years, it was now formally adopted and proclaimed.
