South Africa has lost a patriot, Gordon Bruce

March 24, 2011– Dear Members of the Bruce family; it is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Gordon Bruce. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and comrades.
Gordon and his late wife Ursula were friends of Nelson Mandela from the first time they met more than 60 years ago. They were all members of the non-racial International Club in Johannesburg in the early 1950s.
Gordon’s role in the struggles against apartheid will be remembered. South Africa has lost a patriot.
