Please be aware of latest sms scam

The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory has been made aware of a scam currently circulating via sms that informs the receiver they have won a sum of money in the Nelson Mandela Charity Award.
An example of one such sms from +27795542519 reads:
“Your Cell Phone No have Won R1,000,000,00 In Nelson Mandela Charity Award with Ref No: UK/SA7744 For Claims SEND US EMAIL: michael2013elis@hotmail.com”
Please be advised that the Centre of Memory does not send unsolicited messages, texts or emails. Any such communication should be treated with suspicion.
