June 18, 2010 – A festive atmosphere filled the Nelson Mandela Foundation this afternoon as “Gogos for Mandela” visited.
The Vakhegula Vakhegula Football Club, popularly known as Gogos for Mandela, are a group of South African grannies aged between 49 and 84 who have their own football league in the rural province of Limpopo.

June 13, 2010 – We have decided to issue this statement on behalf of the Mandela family to clarify the position regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Zenani Mandela on Friday.
The car involved in the accident on the M1 was driven by Sizwe Mankazana, 23. He is the son of Zwelakhe Mankazana, the partner of Zenani Mandela-Dlamini. The only passengers in the car were Zenani junior and a member of Sizwe’s family.

June 12, 2010 – Zenani Zanethemba Nomasonto Mandela was born at the Park Lane Clinic in Johannesburg on 9 June 1997.
The daughter of Zoleka Mandela-Seakamela and Casey Moyo, she was the granddaughter of Zindzi Mandela and the great-granddaughter of Nomzamo Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

June 11, 2010 – Nelson Mandela this morning learned of the tragic death of his great-granddaughter, Zenani Mandela, in a car accident. It would therefore be inappropriate for him to personally attend the 2010 FIFA World Cup™opening celebrations. We are sure that South Africans and people all over the world will stand in solidarity with Mr Mandela and his family in the aftermath of this tragedy.

June 11, 2010 – A grand-daughter of Zindzi Mandela has passed away in a car accident in the early hours of this morning.
Zenani Mandela, 13, was travelling in a car returning from the World Cup Kick-Off Concert at Orlando Stadium when the accident occurred. There was only one car involved and no one else was injured.
