Nelson Mandela Foundation

The Nelson Mandela Foundation's Dialogue for Justice programme represents a continuation of conversations held in communities since late 2007.

A highlight of the programme, the Community Conversations were a partnership between the Foundation and the German federal government's German Society for International Co-operation (GIZ), and were launched in 2008 as a response to the outbreak of xenophobic violence in South Africa.

The dialogues facilitate in-community talks on key issues affecting social cohesion, including xenophobia and violence, HIV, drug abuse, and women and youth issues.
