Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf delivered the Sixth Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture on July 12, 2008. During her address, President Johnson-Sirleaf stressed the importance of transparent, accountable government and the need to fight corruption in Africa, in a wide-ranging address delivered as the Sixth Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in Kliptown, Soweto.
