Founder and Managing Director of Grameen Bank and Nobel Laureatte Professor Muhammad Yunus delivered the Seventh Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in Johannesburg on July 11, 2009. The theme of the lecture was “Eradicating poverty by investing in the marginalised”. Prof Yunus said that he believed that it was possible to live a world without poverty, encouraging the audience to make “South Africa the first country without poverty”.
