April 20, 2011 – April 20, 2011 marks the 47th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s speech from the dock in the Rivonia Trial in which he said he was prepared to die for a democratic, non-racial South Africa.

February 11, 2011 –Today marks Nelson Mandela’s release from prison 21 years ago. In celebration of this day, representatives of the Nelson Mandela Foundation will join the mayor of Pietermaritzburg, dignitaries from KwaZulu-Natal and guests in launching “Intimate Moments with Nelson Mandela”; a multimedia exhibition that showcases cherished encounters with South Africa’s much loved statesman.
