April 20, 2011 – April 20, 2011 marks the 47th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s speech from the dock in the Rivonia Trial in which he said he was prepared to die for a democratic, non-racial South Africa.

In celebration of this day, representatives of the Nelson Mandela Foundation will join the mayor of Pietermaritzburg, dignitaries from KwaZulu-Natal and guests in launching “Intimate Moments with Nelson Mandela”; a multimedia exhibition that showcases cherished encounters with South Africa’s much loved statesman.
