Foundation warns public of email scams
December 18, 2009 – We would like to warn the public of the emergence this week of at least two email scams in the name of the Nelson Mandela Foundation. We have engaged the authorities in relation to both scams and the perpetrators will be brought to book.

December 17, 2009 – The Nelson Mandela Foundation would like to warn people of a scam using the Foundation’s name to solicit money.

October 20, 2009 – It has come to the attention of the Nelson Mandela Foundation that a book by Denis Sassou Nguesso, the President of the Republic of Congo, claims to have a foreword written by Nelson Mandela. This is a false claim. Mr Mandela has neither read the book nor written a foreword for it.
