Birthday celebrations continue
July 17, 2008 – After nearly six months of celebrations for Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday, ranging from exhibitions and dialogues to reunions with former comrades and the Annual Lecture delivered by Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf last week, the activities will continue.
New stamps mark birthday
July 15, 2008 – Nelson Mandela today officially received from the South African Post Office a new stamp series celebrating his 90th birthday.
The limited edition of two new stamps is available at all post offices throughout South Africa. The R2.05 postage stamp featuring a photograph of Mr Mandela taken by photographer Halden Krog will be used for domestic mail and the R4.09 stamp featuring a painting of Mr Mandela by Cyril Coetzee is for international postage.
Work party to beautify school
July 15, 2008 – The Nelson Mandela Institute (NMI), one of the four organisations established by Mr Mandela, is celebrating his birthday by organising a school work party in the Eastern Cape.

July 11, 2008 – As his 90th birthday approaches, Nelson Mandela is engaged in an increasing number of birthday-related events and activities. He is trying as far as possible to meet the needs of people from all walks of life to see him and to celebrate his life and work.
Nelson Mandela concert offered music, recruited new warriors
July 1, 2008 – Rochelle Riley was one of the 46 664 fans who flocked to the 46664 concert in Hyde Park on Friday night. For her, the experience was highly entertaining, but also inspirational.

Birthday messages campaign launched
June 18, 2008 – Nelson Mandela’s global HIV/AIDS campaign, 46664, launched the South African leg of its “Text your Birthday Wishes” campaign at Mandela House in Houghton, Johannesburg today.
