NMF hosts girls in Vosloorus during Cell C’s Take a Girl Child to Work Day

The Foundation took part in the Campaign by Cell C, Take a Girl Child to Work, and hosted girls from Erasmus Monareng High School in Vosloorus.

A forum on the Protection of Personal Information Draft Bill

In May 2006 the Centre of Memory and Dialogue, in conjunction with the Mandela Institute (University of the Witwatersrand) and the South African History Archive convened a workshop to discuss The Protection of Personal Information Draft Bill. 

HIV epidemic in South Africa may have entered a phase of levelling off

The HIV infection rate in persons aged two years and older is estimated to be 10.8%, with a higher rate in females (13.3%) than in males (8.2%). HIV prevalence among young adults in the 15 to 49 age group increased slightly from 15.6% in 2002 to 16.2% in 2005, which may be an indication that the epidemic in the general population of South Africa has entered a phase of levelling off.
