Exhibitions
The exhibitions programme is still in its infancy. In the first instance, it seeks to represent the life and times of Mr Nelson Mandela for visitors to Mandela House.
This, of course, influences the nature and register of the representations selected. From Mandela House, exhibitions are made available to other memory institutions, and on their travels reach far bigger and wider audiences than the Foundation can accommodate.
Thus far, Centre of Memory and Dialogue exhibitions have been displayed at the Cape Town Book Fair, the Constitutional Court, Constitution Hill, Klerksdorp, Mpumalanga, Potchefstroom, the Qunu Youth Centre, and Red Location Museum (Port Elizabeth).
