Although retired, Mr Nelson Mandela continues to support efforts to secure his Foundation’s sustainability.

Centre of Memory Programme
Support refurbishing of Mandela House and the acquisition of Mr Mandela’s former residence and offices of the Nelson Mandela Foundation as additional Memory and Dialogue space, into a world class African memory centre and museum, including an archive of historic papers, exhibitions of unique memorabilia; a scholars centre for research and appropriate dialogue space.
R1-million towards the Refurbishing Fund – a certificate signed by Nelson Mandela and a prominent “foundation donor” plaque displayed within the Centre.
R500,000 towards a multiple year programme – recognition at Centre of Memory events and in Centre of Memory publications.
Dialogue Programme
Support an ongoing dialogue series on critical issues including AIDS, Development & Poverty, Education, Peace & Reconciliation.
R500,000 towards a multiple year programme – recognition at Dialogue events and in Dialogue publications.
R2,5-million towards a multiple year programme – a certificate signed by Nelson Mandela and a dialogue series centrally acknowledging the donor.
Endowment Fund
R5-million commitment to support the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s sustainability fund. The donor will become a Nelson Mandela Legacy Champion, receive a certificate signed and presented by Nelson Mandela, and become inscribed in a permanent window on the Nelson Mandela Foundation website and Nelson Mandela Foundation publications.
