The 2009 Annual Lecture will be delivered by Professor Muhammad Yunus on Saturday July 11 at the Johannesburg City Hall.
The founder and managing director of Grameen Bank and 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner will be focusing on “investment in the marginalised as a way of creating wealth and combating poverty”.

July 11, 2009 – Nobel Peace Laureate and founder and managing director of Grameen Bank, Professor Muhammad Yunus, delivered the Seventh Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture at Johannesburg’s city hall today.
The theme of the lecture was “Eradicating poverty by investing in the marginalised”.
The lecture was opened by the Nelson Mandela Foundation CEO Achmat Dangor and praise singer Zolani Mkiva who welcomed Mr Mandela to the lecture.
