About the Event

The Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture has been developed into a prestigious public lecture attracting some of the best intellectual voices in the world and adding to the larger public dialogue on critical social issues.

The Fifth Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture will be delivered by former secretary-general of the United Nations, Mr Kofi Annan, and a wide-ranging audience of about 1 500 guests will attend. There will be a live television broadcast to viewers throughout the African continent, on SABC Africa.
