About the Event
The Annual Lecture is an event hosted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation which has featured former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan (2007), South African President Thabo Mbeki (2006), Nobel Laureates Prof Wangari Maathai (2005), Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu (2004) and former US President Bill Clinton (2003).
It is one of the key events of the Foundation’s Dialogue Programme. This year, the Annual Lecture will take place on July 12, and will feature President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia and Africa’s first elected female head of state. The venue is the Walter Sisulu Square, Kliptown, Soweto. To read more about planned events, see here.
