Prisoner in the Garden, the first exhibition launched at the Nelson Mandela Foundation, opened on September 21, 2004. The exhibition shares Nelson Mandela’s personal prison archive with the world, portraying Mr Mandela’s prison life under apartheid through the disclosure and interpretation of original prison documentation.

Nelson Mandela digital archive exhibition

On 27 March 2012 the Nelson Mandela digital archive was launched at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory. The archive celebrates global access to photos, videos, letters and personal documents about the life and times of Mr Mandela on a digital platform.
